“Live with intention.
Walk to the edge.
Listen hard.
Practice wellness.
Play with abandon.
Laugh.
Choose with no regret.
Appreciate your friends.
Continue to learn.
Do what you love.
Live as if this is all there is.”

-Mary Anne Radmacher

The simplest things aren't always simple. The smallest choices always mean the most in our lives. It's amazing how quickly if can change. Life, I mean.

Amid all of the complexities of life itself, there is something really simple there. Forget the why and the how, and realize the "what" for exactly what it is. A beautiful mistake. (that's what I might call my first book.)

We (human beings) are merely a consequence of a spectacular phenomenon. Our society is a corollary of us. The mathematics and science came after the people....we've created it all to explain something unexplainable. Some things just "are" without an explanation.

And that's the beauty of life. It just is. That's the beauty of the soul...it just is. You can't touch it. It just is. For whatever reason, we're here and we feel. And that in itself is something incredible.

And so why has it become so hard to live with intention, to choose without regret, to live like this is all there is? What have we done to ourselves?

I've started really seeing things lately. Noticing the beauty in the things we've created, and the things that were here before us. It really is spectacular.

I love the way the sun filters through everything...casts deep, mysterious shadows in some places, and adds a beautiful halo to others. I like how the snow looks like a sea of diamonds, in the night. I love the way the moon appears like a white tear in the otherwise black sheet, that is the sky...I love the idea that it takes thousands of years for light from a star to reach Earth...by the time it gets here, that star could be dead. But still it shines for us, bringing a bit more brightness to a sometimes dull world.

Time is overrated, you know. All it does is cause us to limit ourselves. We can blame time for our lack of acheivements..for age, for fatigue. For every failure to live up to our miraculousness. Without it, our potential would be limitless.

But blame is the way we've learned to cope with our shame for being less than spectacular.

I am done with blame. I am going to start living the way I know I should. The easy way. The beautiful way. :)
